SIZE

The first step is to decide the best size for your custom project. If you are unsure of the perfect size for your space, I’m happy to help you decide! I always recommend larger 18" x 24" or larger for custom pieces.

INSPIRATION

Having 1-3 inspiration photos is ideal! A great place to start is my Past Works and Instagram! Let me know what paintings you are particularly drawn to. If you have photographs of locations you would like me to work from, Pinterest boards, color palettes you like, etc. please feel free to share them!

It can also help for me to see your space, either through photos or in person (if local), to get a feel for the surrounding atmosphere (wall color, fabric swatches, light, and overall mood).

SKETCH

I start with a couple sketch options for your piece, to give you an idea of what I had in mind and make sure we are on the same page.  Once I have your approval, the painting begins.  At this point, I typically allow for 10-12 week for completion of each piece (and slightly longer during the holiday season.)

PRICING

Compared to my ready-to-ship paintings, commissions run about 15% more to account for the time spent putting together a cohesive piece that meets all of your desires as well as the privilege of having a painting that will not be reproduced in print form.  I request a 50% non-refundable deposit to begin, with the remaining balance, plus shipping, due once your painting is complete.
